Very friendly, caring staff
Our Siberian Husky snapped the ligaments in both back legs and was in quite a desperate state. We live in Sydney and were holidaying on the Island and so took Diesel to the KI Vet's, thank goodness. Sydney vets had placed him on pain killers and prepared us for a day by day scenario. He also had arthritis in his back legs and so was very uncomfortable. His confidence went and he was urinating and defecating with unexpected loudish noise. Diesel was also getting very snappy of an evening and quite disorientated at times on the pain killers. He could not walk upstairs and could hardly get up or down to sleep.The vets on the Island were terrific, they ascertained he was in good health for a 12 year old dog and had no hesitation in operating on both back legs and putting artificial ligaments in to replace the damaged ones - we had been told in Sydney he was too old and it would be too expensive to do the operations given his age.The operation was 8 months ago and Diesel is a completely revamped dog. His confidence has returned, noises no longer worry him, he is back roaming the parks and playing with other dogs , is climbing stairs again and in a great frame of mind. Even the arthritis now seems to have very little effect on him.I cannot thank the KI vets enough, the operation was very reasonably priced and they were incredibly caring and terrific in everyway. All I want is for them to open a sub branch in Sydney!
