Interesting story about the first family of kangaroo island

The Callnan brothers built 3 cottages on top of this hill in the 19th century from the proceeds of their success in the Victorian gold fields. They named these cottages Hope Faith and Charity. Hope is now a museum, Charity is a private residence and Faith was demolished; which prompts my favourite dad joke on Kangaroo Island when I retell this story to passengers: This town loves the band Faith No More
Unexpected find, loved the lighthouse in the yard, which you could climb by an external staircase. Lens system (not theirs) in place and rotating. Museum has a great range of exhibits from household items, farm machinery, transport, etc.
Visited today, and to my shame I cant remember the lady volunteers name, but she was very welcoming and friendly.Id wanted to visit as love old houses set up in how they used to be, and I wasnt disappointed, I highly recommend a visit!My husband and son had tagged along, and gone off to look around the other areas and lighthouse-to day they were very impressed with the displays and thoroughly enjoyed it, is an understatement!Well worth a visit, just go
