Nice wine they deliver nationally
Came here because it looked nice and had 'good reviews' but unfortunately I'm rating this place 2 stars. The food was decent we had no problem with it. However, the service was not good. Along with the long queue we were waiting for at least 1 hour outside in the cold (inside seats were occupied) for a meal we paid that wasn't even being prepared. The person working at the counter was not honest and when we went to the counter to ask they were making excuses for their mistake. Things that we ordered were not turning up to our table and to be honest the person working there was very dodgy! She would constantly question if we paid for out meal when we clearly did. I wouldn't recommend this place unless if they improve their customer services.
Not a great restaurant experience. The staff numbers were not equipped to handle rush hour with some ridiculously poor communication mishaps between staff and customers.- 2 of our mains were forgotten.- Reminding them of this they put the order in again after 40 minutes. This new order was then promptly forgotten for a second time. After more than an hour the food then arrived.- Tagliatelle pasta became penne pasta without us being informed prior.While free drinks were offered in compensation I would have rather they managed their operations better.
Officially the worst tasting pasta I had in my life. While the servers were polite, they were extremely understaffed and every request took much longer than expected. The pasta was so sweet that it felt like sugar had been added accidentally instead of salt. And when we asked for salt, it took 4 times of requesting to get it after 10 minutes. The owner really needs to staff this place up and improve the food quality. I guess given there is almost no competition in Kingscote, that is unlikely to happen. Never coming back.
